Warning, this is MASSIVE in EVERY WAY - the file size, the dimensions, etc.
I finally managed to finish another manip... XD
This is for *peachesrox's contest on a horse sim. The only requirements were that we had to use her stock (~peachesrox-stock) and it had to have credits.
Also contemplating entering this into #SweetEquineArt's Emotion Contest... as it is a few emotions - loneliness, hopelessness, despair, etc...
In all honesty I found the stock a little hard to work with. The background and horse just weren't ~sparking~ with me - then I changed the sky and it worked so much better.
Still don't really like it that much but I do like it a lot more than just sticking with the original background.
Also my laptop like... exploded at one point and gave me a blue screen of death. :/ Luckily I only lost about an hour of work (it was the eye and feathers mostly that I had to redo).
I also really wanted to do something more with the tail but the horse's original tail was in the way and my effort at blending another horse's leg with it did not go well. :/
Used a new hair painting tutorial... like I've been doing. XD
Used this one this time: [link] with a few modifications.
I kinda like it... It's been a little easier to do for me.

Time: I dunno - I've been working on and off for a month. 9+ hours probably. Maybe 10 or 11.
Layers: Too many. 27 visible. Probably over 200 not visible (I tend to duplicate layer sets and occasionally merge them to work with if I want to do something but keep the original copy.)
Masks were heavily used here - I have a ton of layer masks everywhere. XD A few clipping masks, too.
